Norman Mapeza Appointed Warriors Interim Head Coach Ahead Of Zambia International Friendly.

Former Zimbabwe International midfielder cum defender and current FC Platinum head coach, Norman Mapeza has been appointed as the interim Warriors head coach ahead of an international friendly match against Zambia on Sunday 26 March.

Zimbabwe Football Association communications officer Mr. Xolisani Gwesela confirmed the appointment of Mapeza as Warriors Caretaker coach with immediate effect.

“Norman Mapeza has been appointed interim coach for the Warriors. He will take charge of the match against Zambia on Sunday and will choose his own assistants,” said Gwesela

The Warriors were without a coach since the demise of former mentor, Kalisto Pasuwa after a poor showing at the Africa Cup Of Nations 2017 in Gabon. Mapeza will lead the Zimbabwe national team until Zifa finds a suitable candidate to take over the position.

Norman Mapeza, who coached Zimbabwe Warriors team in the past, is expected to announce his squad on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's encounter against Chipolopolo at the National Sports Stadium.
