Makepekepe Cautious Ahead Of 'The Egyptian Battle' Today

Zimbabwe premier league champions, Caps United F.C are wary of the danger that Egyptian giants, Zamalek SC football club possesis ahead of their Champions League group stage, first leg match to be played in Alexandria,  Borg El Arab stadium, on Friday 12 May.

Makepekepe arrived in Alexandria, some 200km from Egyptian capital Cairo on Thursday to kick-start their Group B match where they were drawn along with USM Alger, Ahli Tripoli, and Zamalek F.C.

Warriors defender and 'The Green Machine' skipper, Hardlife Zvirekwi told the press after the team's last training session that they will take a cautious approach ahead of their first ever encounter against former African Champions, Zamalek F.C

"Obviously, our approach is that we don’t play the same way we play at home. Obviously, we are going to take a very cautious approach because they are a very good team,” Zvirekwi said.

Makepekepe knocked out five-time African Champions, TP Mazembe of DR Congo to reach the Champions League group stage for the first time in the club's history.

"It’s a big game for us as a club and as a nation, because we are representing Zimbabwe, not only CAPS United, so I think it’s a massive game,” added Zvirekwi. “I think we are anticipating that we are going to put our best in it in order to get a good result.”
