Big Move For Kundai Benyu As He Joins Scottish Champions - Celtics F.C

Zimbabwe's highly-rated young midfield sensation, Kundai Benyu has agreed to join Scottish champions - Celtics F.C on a four year deal from Ipswich Town.

The 19-year-old box-to-box midfielder who is in line to get his first international cap with Zimbabwe Warriors, was a much sought-after by some top English clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Westham United, but opted to join former Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers at Celtics.

Speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website, Benyu said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Celtic. It’s a massive honour to sign for the Scottish champions and one of the world's truly great clubs.

“It’s also a great opportunity for me to continue to develop as a footballer under Brendan Rodgers.

“I’m looking forward to meeting up with my new Celtic team-mates. I know there’s a lot of hard work ahead of me but I am ready for this, I’m looking forward to the challenge and I can’t wait to get started.”

Benyu is expected to join the rest of his new teammates on July 1st in pre-season camp in Australia before the season starts.
