Libyan Football Club AL Ahli has been ordered to compensate former player and Zimbabwe international, Edward Sadomba after the Court of Arbitration for Sport found the club guilty of failing to honour a contract termination agreement with the player.

Former Dynamos and Maritzburg United forward, Sadomba, signed a contract termination agreement with Al Ahli, in which the club agreed to pay him $450,000, but the club failed.

Sadomba took his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland via the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe which is chaired by former Dynamos defender Desmond Maringwa after his initial complaint to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) was rejected.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) overturned a decision by FIFA’s (DRC) and ordered Libyan football club Al Ahli to compensate Edward Sadomba for failing to honour contract termination agreement.

Sadomba joined AL Ahli  in 2013 and played there until 2015 before joining rivals AL Ahly Tripoli after his contract termination with AL Ahli.
