FC Platinum and Zimbabwe-Warriors midfielder, Talent Chawapiwa is no doubt a brilliant talent. A quick rundown at his potential, talent, skill and his performances at the recently ended Cosafa tournament will prove that this demenutive winger is the next big thing in Zimbabwe football.

Born 3 June 1992, the former Harare City and ZPC Kariba player has been a revelation during the Cosafa castle cup 2017 tournament.

His role and performances in Zimbabwe-Warriors' record fifth Cosafa Castle cup win put him on the international stage and drew many admirers and interest from clubs in South Africa.

Possessing pace and  flair in abundance, Chawapiwa is extremely difficult player for defenders to deal with. The starlet played a significant role in Zimbabwe's success story at the tournament, featuring in all six matches, scoring two goals and providing as much assists in the final, while he showed that he is capable of gliding past opponents with ease as he completed more than 57% of the take-ons that he attempted during the tournament. He was named man of the match in the final against Zambia.

Since his debut for the national team in 2015 , Chawapiwa has upped his performance consistently, earning himself 14 caps for the Warriors and three goals to his name, scoring the first goal on his debut against Seychelles in 2015 Cosafa tournament.

Though Zimbabwe currently have other best attacking midfielders, in Kudakwashe Mahachi and Khama Billiat, Talent Chawapiwa has the potential to become a world-class player.

Blessed with height, pinpoint passing accuracy, eerie bust of speed and his intricate dribbling, the FC Platinum, if he continues to develop could be Zimbabwe's next star turn.
