Big Blow For Kaizer Chiefs New Signing Teenage Hadebe

Zimbabwe Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs new signing Teenage Hadebe has suffered a huge setback after twisting his ankle during a training session on Wednesday just a week before the league opens.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder and compatriot, Willard Katsande confirmed Hadebe's injury to Newsday and beleived the 21-year-old will be out for a lengthy period.

"The injury looks really bad," said Katsande.

"There is no fracture, but it's terrible. I understand he will be out for a maximum five weeks. It's a huge setback for his career.

Hadebe who missed in Kaizer Chiefs' 1-nil MTN8 quarter final exit to Supersport United on Saturday, was no doubt in coach Steve Kompela's plans this season after impressing in the pre-season matches.

"He had done well since joining and the coach wanted to play him. I have no doubt that he was going to make the first team because he is a quality player, one of the best defenders we have at the moment."

"It's sad because now he will have to start all over again and it will be difficult for him to come back into the team. He will have to wait for his chance," said Katsande.
