Kudakwashe Mahachi Scores In Ill-Tempered - MTN8 Quarter Final Match Between Bidvest Wits & Golden Arrows F.C

Zimbabwe Warriors and Golden Arrows demenutive winger, Kudakwashe Mahachi scored on his first official match of the season for Abafana Bes'thende as they lost 4-3 on penalty shootout to Bidvest Wits after an eventful 2-all draw - in an MTN 8 Quarter final match on Friday night.

The 23-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns loanee scored in the 24th minutes to double Golden Arrows' lead after Lerato Lamola's opening goal in the 11th minute. But Bidvest Wits were not to be out-done as they fought back to drew 2-all in the second half of an action packed encounter.

Zimbabwe and Golden Arrows defensive midfielder, Danny Phiri was one of the unfortunate three players who were red-carded (2 from Arrows and 1- Wits) during the match after receiving his second yellow card. Both coaches, Gavin Hunt and Clinton Larsen including Arrows' assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi were sent to the stands for verbal abuse during the hot-heated affair.

It is Kudakwashe Mahachi's first goal in his first official appearance for Abafana Bes'thende this season.
