Matthew Rusike Back At Club Africain But Missed The Trip To South Africa

Zimbabwe international forward, Matthew Rusike is back in full-time training at Club Africain after the striker resolved his issues with the club last week. However Rusike will miss the chance to play in one of his former hunting grounds when Club Africain clash with South Africa's Supersport United in CAF Confederations Cup Semi-final first leg on Sunday - six years after his departure.

The 27-year-old former Swedish-based forward, started playing in South Africa in 2009 when he joined University of Pretoria F.C from Zimbabwe's Monomotapa F.C. before moving to Jomo Cosmos and eventually Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs until he left for Sweden in 2015.

Rusike who only started training this week, could not make part of the travelling squad to play Supersport United in South Africa in what could have been a great reunion with former Absa premiership counterparts and Mzansi fans.

The former Helsingborg IF star, is expected to be fully fit to return to the first team squad in Club Africain's next encounter.
