Matthew Rusike Set For Club Africain Return

Zimbabwe and Club Africain's run-away forward, Matthew Rusike is set to return to the Tunisia based outfit nearly two months after he left the club due to a wage-fall-out.

According to reports in the Tunisian media, the 26-year-old forward is expected in Tunisia anytime soon to finalise details of his return after the two parties decided to iron out their differences.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Helsingborg forward left Club Africain last season after winning the Tunisia Cup final due to an alleged non payment of wages.

The Club's member of the director's committee, Majdi Khalifi has since confirmed the payment of Rusike's outstanding wages which is believed was due to a technical problem.

"The player was paid his full-wages including an 8000 dollars advanced pay for July month (before he left)," said Khalifi in a recent Tunisia radio show

He however blamed football agents for the fallout between the player and the club.

"He was manipulated by football agents, but he remains our player," said Khalifi.

Rusike's Club Africain contract runs until 2019. The club had offered to sell the player after the fallout but it looks unlikely now as Club Africain contemplate to replace their injured chief striker Fabrice Ondama with Rusike who had been a very formidable forward for the Club ever since he joined in January 2017.
