Zim-born Shepherd Murombedzi Scored In English FA Cup!

Harare-born and Solihull Moors left- winger, Shepherd Murombedzi scored in the English Emirates FA Cup tournament after his side drew 1-all at home to Osset Town in their first round qualification encounter on Saturday.

The 22-year-old former Manchester United junior player, who left Zimbabwe along his family at the age of four years old, opened the scoresheet in the first 20 minutes of the game - striking from close range to put Solihull Moors 1-0 ahead of English Evo-Stick Northern Division One side, Osset Town before Corey Gregory equalised for the visitors.

Solihull Moors are in the English Vanarama National League alongside Leyton Orient F.C, home to Macauley Bonne and Aldershot Town F.C, former club to Zimbabwe and Glasgow Celtics starlet, Kundai Benyu.

It is Murombedzi's first goal in 15 appearances for Solihull Moors this season, who will be going for a replay against Osset to book their place in the first round of the Emirates cup.
