Khama Billiat Miss Out On CAF Top Awards Nominees!!

Zimbabwe-Warriors star and former African Footballer of the year based in Africa 2016 finalist, Khama Billiat has missed out on this year's Confederations of African Football top awards after he failed to make the first list of nominees released by CAF on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old wantaway Mamelodi Sundowns winger who was Zimbabwe's solo representative at last year's awards, missed out after playing a total of 32 matches for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2016/17 season scoring 9 goals and 6 assists in all competitions and a disappointing outing with Zimbabwe-Warriors at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Billiat carved a niche for himself in African Football last year after outstanding performances with Zimbabwe-Warriors in the Africa cup of nations 2017 qualifying rounds and club success with Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2015/16 domestic season and CAF Champions league 2016 Championship.

Fellow Mamelodi Sundowns teammates, South Africa's Percy Tau and Ugandan Dennis Onyango made the first 30 nominees in both categories whilst Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Senegal's Sadio Mane will be expected to battle it to the finals of African Player of the Year 2017.
