Zimbabwe-Warriors To Play Zambia Chipolopolo In Another Friendly International!

Zimbabwe-Warriors will continue their AFCON qualifyer preparations as they take on Zambia's Chipolopolo in an international friendly match organised to commemorate the inauguration of new Zimbabwe President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa on the 23rd of December in Harare after the CECAFA tournament.

Zimbabwe Football Association boss, Philip Chiyangwa announced to the media on Sunday of the comemoratory match that will be curtain-raised by Zimbabwe-Warriors Legends vs South Africa's Bafana Bafana Legends at the National Sports Stadium.

"As the custodians of the nation’s most popular sport code, ZIFA duly appreciates the sincere call by His Excellency for every citizen regardless of political orientation, tribe, gender, colour or creed to positively contribute towards the building of our nation . Sport in general and football in particular is a proven catalyst for unity , peace and social cohesion," said Chiyagwa

"We are confident that the new start that the nation has been granted in the hands of His Excellency Cde Mnangagwa will lead not only to the revival but flourishing success of sport," he said.

Sunday Chidzambwa, who was recently appointed caretaker coach after the end of Wilson Mutekede's tenure will take charge at the CECAFA tournament and is expected to continue to lead the Warriors against Zambia on the 23rd of December if he succeed at the tournament.
