Macauley Bonne Bags A Brace To Help Secure An Important Win For Leyton Orient!!

Leyton Orient talisman, Macauley Bonne was at his best again as he bags a brace to power struggling O's overcome National League title contenders, Sutton, 4-1 at home on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old Zimbabwe-Warriors forward scored a penalty in the opening 7 minutes of the game to put Leyton Orient 1-0 ahead in the first half of the game. Harrold doubled the O's lead in the 54th minute before Bonne extended the lead to 3-0 in the 81st minute and complete his brace of the night.

Sutton scored the consolation goal in the 84th minute, courtesy of Wright to reduce the margin but Dayton replied 3 minutes later with a goal for Orient to restore the lead.

Bonne was later Substituted in the 90+3 minutes to a standing ovation by the home fans as Leyton Orient register their first three points after 15 matches.

Leyton Orient last registered a win in September, ironically a 4-1 home victory over Guiseley and they will be looking to continue with winning form to escape relegation.

The O's are currently seating 20 in the National League log table with 24 points from 24 matches.
