Sunday Chidzambwa Names Warriors Squad For Zambia Friendly!

Newly appointed Warriors coach, Sunday Chidzambwa has named his 24-man squad that will face Zambia in an inagural Christmas Challenge Cup on 23rd of December.

The 24-member squad which consists of only local based players, is expected in camp on Wednesday before playing Zambia in a friendly match that has officially been set as the ingaural Christmas Challenge Cup between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The 65-year-od veteran coach beleive the match will help him assess players he will include in his final squad for Africa Cup of nations qualifyers in September 2018.

“The job has begun for me so I would like to start assessing the players from a critical point of view. This is the perfect chance for the local based players to get game time and show what they can do,” said Chidzambwa.

The match will be curtain raised by Zimbabwe-Warriors Legends vs Bafana Bafana Legends match.

Goalkeepers: Herbert Rusawo, Takabva Mawaya, Elvis Chipezeze.

Defenders: Jimmy Dzingai, Dennis Dauda, Peter Muduwa, Kelvin Moyo, Praise Tonha, Farai Madhananga, Devine Lunga, Qadr Amini.

Midfielders: Gerald Takwara, Devon Chafa, Liberty Chakoroma, Never Tigere, Ali Sadiki, Ocean Mushure, Clemence Matawu, Rodwell Chinyengetere, Ishmael Wadi, Leeroy Mavunga.

Strikers: Dominic Chungwa, Clive Augusto, John Zhuwawo.
