Zim Youngsters Receive Opportunity To Attend Trials At West Brom

Talented young Zimbabwean footballers from around the country have been given a gateway to further their footballing careers at Engish Premier League side, West Bromwich Albion

BN Academy director Bekhithemba Nyoni has teamed up with West Bromwich academy coach Ahmed Ali and local coaches such as Darlington Dodo, Steven Chikodzi, Eric Aisam, Phillip Mbofana, Antony Vheriwa and Labani Kandi to conduct trials at Belgravia Sports Club in Harare, which aims to give promising youngsters in the country the opportunity to attend trials at the English Premier League side.

Ahmed Ali, who is in Zimbabwe for four days along with Zimbabwe-UK under-17 coach, Trevor Mazhande, has watched more than 120 young players from across Zimbabwe turningout for the soccer clinic at Belgravia sports club on Monday, has been highly impressed with what he has seen so far.

“The gaffer was impressed with some players who were good at football basics and believes they only need some assistance to be future greats. I believe we have talent and those who will make it will have an opportunity to try their luck at West Brom,” said Nyoni in a Herald report.

Ali will be leaving Zimbabwe on Sunday and the shortlisted players will be invited for trials at West Bromwich.
