Maritzburg United Set To Swoop For Caps United's John Zhuwawo As Evans Rusike's Exit Looms!

It is never easy to part-ways with your precious possessions, but sometimes you have to accept the inevitable - Despite Maritzburg United putting a "Not For Sale" tag on Evans Rusike, the club seem to be preparing for life after the Zimbabwean forward.

As pressure mounts from South Africa's big teams for Rusike's signature, Maritzburg United have targeted Caps United striker John Zhuwawo to replace their valuable asset.

According to Zimbabwe's Herald newspaper, Zhuwawo will depart for South Africa on Wednesday for assessment at Maritzburg United ahead of a possible move to the Absa premiership side.

"John is flying to South Africa on Wednesday and this could be his breakthrough to a foreign club," said Caps United president Farai Jere.

Zhuwawu who made a name for himself during Caps United's CAF Champions league campaign last year - was on the verge of joining Ajax Cape Town in December but the deal was stalled over disagreements on the transfer fee.
