Official: Matthew Rusike Joins Cape Town City!

Nomadic Zimbabwe international forward, Matthew Rusike has made a surprise move back to South Africa football premiership after signing for Cape Town City on the last day of transfer window.

The 27-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs forward, joined the Citizens as a free agent after he was given a free transfer by Tunisia side, Club Africain at the end of October last year.

Rusike moved to Club Africain in January 2017 from Swedish side, Helsingborg IF and had a blistering start to his career at the Tunisian club, scoring four goals in 13 league appearances  before he left in June after a wage fall out.

The former Jomo Cosmos player only featured in one game after rejoining Club Africain in September 2017 prompting the Zimbabwean to leave the club in October as a free agent.

Rusike aims to relaunch his football career back in the Absa premiership with the Citizens.
