Ovidy Karuru Solitary Goal Sink Supersport United!

Zimbabwe international and Amazulu forward Ovidy Karuru scored the only goal of the match to help Amazulu win 0-1 away to Supersport United on Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder scored in the 53rd minute to break the deadlock and give Amazulu a back to back Absa premiership win against Supersport United after winning 2-0 in the first round on January 20 with Karuru also scoring in that match.

Former Maritzburg United goal poacher, Evans Rusike made his debut for Supersport United, but could not save his new team from sinking deeper into the relegation zone.

The COSAFA Castle Cup 2017 golden boot winner, Karuru has now scored two goals in 14 league appearances so far this season with Amazulu moving up to 11th on the log  with 23 points from 19 games.
