Matthew Rusike Scored On Cape Town City Debut, Musona Strike Fails To Rescue Polokwane City!

It only took two minutes for former Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe forward, Matthew Rusike to score his debut goal for Cape Town City as he marks his return to South African football.

The 27-year-old forward who received his clearance in time for Nedbank cup clash against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday, scored a beautful header with his first touch after a good cross from Teko Modise in the opening 2 minutes to book their spot in the Nedbank Cup last 16.

In Another Nedbank cup last 32 clash on Wednesday night, Zimbabwe rising star, Walter Musona came in from the bench to level the scores For Polokwane City in the 68' minutes after a 2-1 lead by Ubuntu Cape Town, courtesy of NFD hot property Ranga Chivaviro's brace in the 45th and 50th minutes respectively.

The 22-year-old Musona's goal forced the two teams into extra time, however fails to rescue 'The Rise 'n' Shine' boys from exiting the Nedbank cup competition on a 3-2 loss in the extra time after Madikane's goal in the 116' minutes.
