Kundai Benyu Working Hard Despite Lack Of Game Time At Oldham Athletic!

Zimbabwe and Celtic sensational young midfielder, Kundai Benyu is not folding up after seeing his loan spell failing to take off at Oldham Athletic where he has failed to break into Richie Wellens' first eleven.

The 20-year-old has only made two league appearances since his loan move from Celtic to the English League One Side in January 2018, but the Zimbabwean is working hard in training every day and Oldham Athletic manager, Richie Wellens believe he is soon going to make an impact at the club.

"He's a young player developing and I've got no doubts that he will go on to be a great player, but its been unfortunate for him as the team has been stable and picking up results, so you don't want to change it too much," said Wellens in a recent interview with MEN sport.

"Kundai just needs to stay patient and use (training)as part of his development and learning and make sure his disappointment doesn't show and he trains properly," said Wellens.

Benyu who made his Zimbabwe-Warriors debut last year in November against Lesotho and Namibia respectively, is one of the players who impressed the Warriors technical team and could be included in the final squad for AFCON qualifiers starting in September, if he starts getting game time.

Oldham are currently sitting on the 20th position on the log with 40 points from 36 matches and are fighting to keep out of relagation zone with 12 more matches remaining before the season ends.
