Macauley Bonne Bangs His 20th League Goals For Leyton Orient With A Brace Over Barrow & Young Tinashe Makanda Rescues A Point For Stellenbosch!

 

We are starting to run out of superlatives for Macauley Bonne and after his performance on Saturday its becoming even more difficult to describe his goal scoring form this season. The Zimbabwean banged another brace and forced an own goal in Leyton Orient's 4-1 win at home to Barrow on Saturday, whilist rising forward, Tinashe Makanda scores in the second half of the match to rescue a point for Stellenbosch FC in the South Africa's NFD.

Macauley Bonne's goal scoring impact was first felt in the 28' minutes of the game when he flicked McAnuff's corner and saw his effort went into the net off Barrow defender, Daniel Jones to level the scores at 1-1 after the visitors took the lead in the opening 7 minutes.

Josh Karoma doubled the O's lead in the second half to 2-1 before the 22-year-old Warriors forward scored consecutively in the 90th and 90+3 minutes to complete a 4-1 win and register their third straight victory in the league.

Bonne's brace on Saturday has now brought his tally to 20 league goals in 38 starts for Leyton Orient this season.

In the South Africa National First Division, another Bantu Rovers product, ex- FC Platinum and How Mine forward, Tinashe Makanda scored in the 52nd minute to level the scores 1-all for Stellenbosch F.C at home to Royal Eagles FC on Saturday.

The 24-year-old rising forward who scored on his debut against Jomo Cosmos in February 2018, has now scored two goals in five league appearances for Stellenbosch this season.

Meanwhile Tapuwa Kapini's Highlands Park have confirmed their ticket back in the South African top flight league after a convincing 5-1 win over University of Pretoria on Saturday.
