Macauley Bonne's Sensational Form At Leyton Orient Attracts Huge Interest!

Zimbabwe Warriors and Leyton Orient talisman, Macauley Bonne is a wanted man after his prolific goal scoring form at Leyton Orient attracts attention of Football League trio Shrewsbury, Portsmouth and Bury.

The 22-year-old former Colchester forward who made his Zimbabwe Warriors debut against Lesotho in November 2017, has scored 20 league goals in 40 appearances for Leyton Orient who are currently seating on position 14 with 54 points from 42 matches they have played so far this season in the National League.

According to reports from the English sports media, the three League one outfits are all plotting a summer swoop for the talented young Zimbabwean forward.

The clubs believe Bonne has the potential to follow in English forward and Leicester City star Jamie Vardy who made a sensational rise from non-league hopeful to Premier League's top scorer.

Shrewsbury are currently third on the Leage One log table with 82 points from 41 games, Portsmouth -  (former Zimbabwe Warriors skiper Benjani Mwaruwari's former club) are seventh with 63 points from 42 game and struggling Bury (home to young Zimbabwean defender, Douglas Nyaupembe) are relegation prone anchoring right at the bottom of the log with 30 points from 42 games.

Bonne still has one-year left on his contract with Leyton Orient. It now to be seen wether Orient will be ready to cash in on their most valuable asset or will choose to keep him and risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season.
