Nyasha Mushekwi Finally Got His Chance At Dalian Yifang And Grabbed It With Both Hands!

Zimbabwe international forward, Nyasha Mushekwi finally made his long waited Chinese Super League debut in style as he starred in Dalian Yifang's 1-1 draw at home to Tianjin Quanjian and almost earned Yifang their first win in the top flight league after scoring in the last minutes of the game, only to be denied by a (VAR) decision.

The 30-year-old Dalian Yifang fan favourite who helped the team to get promotion from Chinese League One last season after scoring 16 goals and four assists, was given his chance to start in the first team for the first time by new coach Bernd Schuster, sacrificing Portuguese defender José Fonté for his space in the team and did not disappoint.

After Quanjian's early lead in the opening 6' minutes of the game, Mushekwi won a penalty in the 45+2 minutes which Yannick Carrasco converted cooly to level the scores at 1-1 before the half time.

The Zimbabwean hitman who was causing all sorts of problems for the visitors deservedly got his goal in the 86th minutes of the game to put Yifang 2-1 ahead, but unfortunately did not count after judged offside by the controversial Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Mushekwi who played full game today could be Bernd Schuster's ace in the FA cup on Tuesday, after impressing the former Real Madrid mentor with his Super League debut performance on Sunday.
