FINALLY! Marvelous Nakamba & Club Brugge Confirmed Belgian CHAMPIONS!!

After a series of pulsating Championship playoff matches, Club Brugge were at last confirmed Belgian Champions after holding Standard Liege to a 1-all draw on Sunday to claim the title for the record 15th time in the club's history, with a game remain to play before they complete the playoffs.

Club Brugge who let slip their initial chance to seal the title race last week by losing to rivals Anderlecht, came back strong claiming four points in their last two matches, rising their points tally to 46, four points clear of second placed Standard Liege with only a game left to play.

The 24-year-old Zimbabwe midfield maestro Marvelous Nakamba has been a pilar of success at Club Brugge, playing a total of 35 matches out of 39 and starting in 31 of them, providing 6 goal assists in his debut season at the club attracting interest from top European leagues with his 'Ngolo Kante' type of work rate.

It is Nakamba's first European title in his professional football career and his second Silverware after winning the Dutch FA Cup with Netherlands's Vietesse Arnheim in 2016/17 season before moving to Club Brugge in July 2017.

Club Brugge will play their final playoff match against KAA Gent on the 20th of May, but whatever the outcome in that match, Club Brugge will still remain top of the table.
