Zimbabwe Warriors Under-17 Out To Redeem Themselves As They Face Swaziland In An Important Cosafa Cup Group C Match!

Men On A Mission: Zimbabwe Under-17 Squad Set To Prove Their Worth At The COSAFA Championship In Mauritius.

Zimbabwe Warriors Under-17 coach, Tafadzwa Mashiri has a huge task at hand as he lead the Young Warriors in their opening group C match against Swaziland on Friday afternoon in another crucial COSAFA Championship being hosted in Mauritius from 19-29 July.

The Under-17 squad, which is made up of locally based talent from around the country, is set to redeem the image of the national Under17 squad which has performed dismally in the past competitions.

Considering the dominance of Zimbabwe in Southern Africa football, the Under17 team have not yet won the COSAFA Championshiop, and despite qualifying four times for the Africa Under17 Championship, Zimbabwe have not yet passed the group stage of the competition.

2018 COSAFA Under17 Championship is even more significant this year as it serves as a qualifier for 2019 African Under17 Championship,  which in turn will supply the continent’s four representatives at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Peru next year.

Zimbabwe are in Group C alongside Angola, Malawi and Swaziland. The match will kick start at 12:30hrs local time.
