Bonne, Kadewere Miss Out While Mushekwi Returns As Chidzambga Names Provisional Squad For AFCON 2019 Qualifier!

In-form Dalian Yifang forward, Nyasha Mushekwi(L) Returns while Kadewere (C) and Bonne (R) miss out!
Leyton Orient talisman, Macauley Bonne and former Djurgardens IF and French Ligue 2 side, FC Le Havre new signing Tinotenda Kadewere were huge miss out as Zimbabwe Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambga announced his 28-man provisional squad to play against Congo Brazzaville in the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations Qualifier next month.

This could have been a good opportunity for promising young Warriors forwards Macauley Bonne (22) and Tinotenda Kadewere(22) who are currently in phenomenal goal scoring form at the moment, with Bonne banging a brace in his 3rd match for Orient this season after topping the club's goal scoring charts last season with 25 goals and Kadewere scoring 8 goals in 12 matches for Djurgadens IF this season before moving to Le Havre in July 2018.

The veteran Warriors mentor, however re-called banned Chinese based hot property Nyasha Mushekwi who is currently on a purple patch scoring 7 goals in 10 matches so far at Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League to replace Macauley Bonne who is yet to receive his passport and Tinotenda Kadewere who is currently nursing a knee injury.

Mushekwi (30) was banned alongside former Warriors skipper, Willard Katsande, Matthew Rusike and Cuthbert Malajila for allegedly inciting a protest over non payment of bonuses last year, but his inclusion in the team could be a big boost for the Warriors who desperately need fire power in front of goal.

Eric Chipeta who is currently with NFD side, Cape Umoya United formerly Platinum Stars, has been out of competitive football for more than six months after leaving Ajax Cape Town for an unsuccessful stint in Saudi Arabia was a surprise inclusion in Mhoufu's provisional squad.

Teenage Hadebe and Ovidy Karuru who are currently out of action at their respective clubs due to injuries, were also drafted in the squad as they are expected to recover in time to travel to Congo Brazzaville for the September 9 encounter.

Zimbabwe Warriors are currently on top of Group G with 3 points after beating Liberia 3-0 in their first group match in Harare last year.
