Congo-Brazzaville Full-Steam Ahead In Preparation For The Africa Cup Of Nations Encounter Against Zimbabwe Warriors!

As Zimbabwe Warriors are expected to begin camp on the 3rd of September ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier second group match against Congo-Brazzaville scheduled on the 9th of September, their opponents have already began preparations.

Congo-Brazzaville who were beaten 3-1 in their first Group match away to Congo DR in June last year, are leaving no stone un-turned as they aim to register their first group win against Zimbabwe Warriors in their backyard to keep their hopes of qualifying to AFCON finals next year in Cameroon alive.

The Diables Rounge or Red Devils as Congo-Brazzaville are known, have already started camp last week with their first training session conducted on Monday 27 August with 17 of the 23 local players who were called up by coach Candido Filho( Valdo) reporting for camp.

The other six local stars who were taking part in the CAF Confederations Cup with local club Cara FC and the other half from Congo Star, joined camp later on in the week to complete the 23-local based contingent. 13 Foreign based players who were also called in are due in camp after this weekend.

Despite Valdo losing his key players like midfield duo of French Ligue 1 side Caen's Prince Oniangue and Turkish based Delvin N'dinga through injuries,  the former Brazilian midfielder has called up a very talented youthful side that includes  Belgian based Zulte Waragen central defender, Marvin Baudry (28), French based defender Tobias Badila (25) who is in Ligue 2 with AS Nancy and Marveil Ndockyt (20) attacking midfielder on loan to Spanish side RCD Mallorca from Getafe CF to take on the Warriors.
