Zimbabwe midfield maestro, Marvelous Nakamba has returned to full training at Club Brugge after missing the club's opening match of the season a 5-2 win against AS Eupen last Sunday due to injury lay off.

The 24-year-old Brugges' defensive midfield star suffered a knee injury after helping Zimbabwe Warriors clinch their record sixth COSAFA Championship in July, missing the rest of his club's pre-season training.

Nakamba has been training alone for sometime and only resumed group training for the first time on Tuesday, having last trained with the team for the past three months.

Coach Ivan Leko is happy with Nakamba's return, but is also very cautious not to rush the midfielder dynamo.
"We are happy to bring his quality, energy and positivism back, but we have to give him time to be ready," said Leko.
We tried to compensate for his loss with totally different profiles, which did not do badly." said the Brugges manager.

Club Brugge will travel to Royal Excel Mouscron on Sunday 5th August for their second match of the season in the Belgian top flight league.

If all goes well, Nakamba could get some minutes on Sunday, as Club Brugge looks to defend their Championship title.
