Mighty Warriors Targets Revenge In Cosafa Championship!

Zimbabwe's Mighty Warriors will embark in another Cosafa Women’s Championship journey in Port Elizabeth, South Africa from 12-23 September and are aiming to wrestle the cup from host Banyana Banyana who beat them in last year's final in Bulawayo to lift the trophy.

Mighty Warriors who are in Group C of this year's Cosafa Championship alongside Swaziland, Namibia and guest nation Uganda will be targeting to go all the way to the finals and lift the trophy at the expense of Banyana Banyana who beat them 1-2 in last year's finals at the Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo to claim their fourth Cosafa title.

The Mighty Warriors get their campaign underway on September 13 against Namibia, who they beat 4-0 in the African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers in April before taking on Swaziland and Namibia respectively.

Mighty Warriors will play Group A winners if they finish as Group C winners, as is expected, but will face off winners of Group B if they progress as best runners-up.
