Rahman Gumbo Off To A Good Start At Witbank Spurs!

Zimbabwe Warriors legend and one of the country's most decorated coach, Rahman Gumbo has kick-started his coaching career at South Africa National First Division side, Witbank Spurs on a good note after registering a 0-1 win away to Real Kings on Saturday.

The 54-year-old Zimbabwe Warriors assistant coach who joined Spurs as head coach in July 2018 on a one-year contract (with an option to renew) after leaving Southern Region Division One side Makomo FC, opened the NFD league with a 0-1 win away to Real Kings to register his first three points in his first match of the season at Spurs.

Gumbo's team is boosted with fellow Zimbabwe internationals in goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda, midfielder Patrick Mubaiwa and forward Cleopas Dube who all started against Real Kings on Saturday.

Gumbo who is reportedly chasing another Zimbabwean star, former Highlanders and Supersport United youngster Prince Dube, already has King Nadolo and Peter Mubaiwa in his strong squad.
