Weekend Action Round Up: Mushekwi Hits Hat-trick, Bonne's Brace, Khama Billiat's Official Debut Goal For Chiefs And Evans Rusike Scoring Again In Tembo's Big Win!

Here is a wrap of how our international stars fared in their matches played over the weekend as the season begins to get much more interesting.

Nyasha Mushekwi was on fire in China on Friday as he single handily destroyed Guangzhou R&F, scoring a hat-trick to earn Dalian Yifang's 3-0 home win in the round 17 of the Chinese Super League. The 30-year old former Djurgardens IF, KV Oostende, Mamelodi Sundowns and Caps united forward is currently doing well in the Chinese Super League ever since he was given his chance to play in the first team by new coach Bernd Schuster after falling out of favor with the previous coach. Mushekwi has so far scored 7 goals in 10 Chinese Super League appearances for Yifang so far this season.

Andy Rinomhota, the 21-year-old English-based Zimbabwean midfielder who is targeted by the Warriors technical team was in action on Saturday as he played 82 minutes for Reading reserve side drawing 2-2 at home to Wolverhampton U23 in their opening English premier League 2 division encounter.

Danny Phiri was introduced in the 78th minutes whilst Divine Lunga came off in the 76th minutes as Lamontville Golden Arrows lost 2-0 away to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 Quarter finals on Saturday.

Macauley Miles Bonne opens his new English National League scoring account for Leyton Orient with a brace on Saturday as they drew 2-2 at home to Barrow in their third round of the National league matches. The 22-year-old left-footed forward who banged 22 league goals for Orient last season is now on 2 goals in three league matches so far this season.

Tendayi Darikwa was in fantastic form for Nottingham Forest on Saturday playing full game in their 1-0 win over Reading in the English Championship round 3. The 26-year-old right-back has started in all Forest's league matches this season, winning one and drawing twice.

Adam Chicksen, who had a fantastic debut with Zimbabwe Warriors during Four Nations tournament in Zambia in March 2018, played full game- his second league match for Bradford City as they lost 0-2 at home to Barnsley. They have one lose one win so far in the English League One.

Khama Billiat scored his official debut goal for Kaizer Chiefs as they beat Free State Stars 3-0 to advance to the MTN8 semi-finals on Saturday. The 27-year-old right-footed winger sealed the scoreline with a beautiful goal in the 90+ minutes to register his name on the score- chart. Willard Katsande also played full game in that encounter.

Evans Rusike was in handy for Supersport United on Saturday, scoring a goal plus assist as they overcome giants Orlando Pirates 3-4 on penalties after a 2-2 deadlock in the regulated time to earn Kaitano Tembo a huge win as they advance to the semi-finals of the MTN8 trophy. Onismor Bhasera also played full game for Supersport United. Kudakwashe Mahachi was introduced in the 97th minutes of the extra time for Orlando Pirates, coming in for Vincent Pule but United managed to weather the storm to force penalties.

Matthew Rusike was in action again on Sunday, coming on in the 66th minutes for Siphelele Mtembu as Cape Town City advance to the semis of the MTN8 trophy on a 0-1 win away to Maritzburg United.

Alec Mudimu, the Welsh based midfielder played full game as Cefn Druids opens their league encounter with a 1-0 defeat to Caernarfon Town on Sunday.

Knowledge Musona was introduced in the 73rd minutes for Anderlecht as they register their third consecutive win in the league. They are currently on top of the log with 9 points from 3 matches.
