Sunday was no short of action as our stars continue to shine. Here is how they played in detail:

  • Knowledge Musona made his second appearance for Anderlecht in the Jupiler Pro League coming on in the 75th minutes as they humble his former side KV Oostende with a 5-2 win to register a second win in the league.
  • Knox Mutizwa was the hero of the day for Golden Arrows, producing a top of the drawer bicycle kick to help Abafana Bes'thende to a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United. Its too early to say but his goal could be one of the contenders for the goal of the season. Breathtaking!
  • Danny Phiri returned a better player for Arrows, after enduring a disappointing season last year with a long term injury, playing full game and showing signs of maturity in their opening match of the season against Maritzburg United.
  • Former FC Platinum left-back, Divine Lunga made his premier league debut for Abafana Bes'thende, playing full game as they register three points in their first match vs Maritzburg.
  • Ronald Pfumbidzai played full game as Bloemfontein Celtics opens the season with a 2-0 win over Chippa United on Sunday.
