United States-based Zimbabwean forward, Lucky Mkosana is set to finally make his international career debut with Zimbabwe Warriors after the striker was called in to replace a huge number of players who have been withdrawn from the squad because of various reasons.

The 30-year-old versatile forward who has spent more than five years in the United Soccer League (USL), the second tier in the United States of America has been in outstanding form for his new club Penn FC scoring 9 goals and an assist in 19 matches this season.

The talented forward has been called in after the latest withdrawals from the squad of Yadah's Leeroy Mavunga who is due for a month long trials with a club in Portugal and Nyasha Mushekwi still remains a doubt although he is currently playing regularly at his club.

Mkosana started his US League career at Dartmouth College in 2011/12 season before making short stints with Chicago Fire, Harrisburg City and TB Rowdies and IFK Mariehamn in the top Finish League.

The center forward played much of his football at New York City Cosmos where he is still considered among one of the club's legends after spending four seasons at the club, scoring 11 goals in 65 appearances, winning the NASL Soccer Bowl Championship and the NASL Regular Season Championship before moving to Pennsvalnia in March 2018.

The bulky striker, who has more of Nyasha Mushekwi's qualities will be a good addition to an injury-hit Warriors' squad who are due to play against Congo in the Africa cup of nations qualifier on the 9th of September.

Bidvest Wits' Terrence Dzvukamanja could be another possible addition to the squad after impressing on his debut for the top South African club, as Chidzambwa is looking to come up with a strong squad to travel to Brazzaville.
