Cedric Bakambu & Gael Kakuta Highlights DR Congo's Strong Squad Against Zimbabwe Warriors!

Democratic Republic of the Congo's Leopards head coach, Jean-Florent Ibenge Ikwange, is not taking Zimbabwe Warriors lightly as he named a strong 26-member squad for the double showdown against the Warriors on 13th and 16th of October in Kinshasa and Harare respectively.

To reinforce his squad and ensure a positive result against Zimbabwe, Leopards coach has re-called star players in-form Cedrick Bakambu and Gael Kakuta who missed in the previous fixtures to lead his charges against a determined Warriors side.

The Leopards who have been in camp since Monday, began their training session on Tuesday evening with most of their foreign based players present except Aaron Tshibola, English-born Aston Villa midfielder on loan to Scottish side Kilmarnock who is reportedly having issues with his traveling documents to feature in the back to back ties against Zimbabwe Warriors.

However the star-studded DRC side were boosted by the arrival of their chief striker, Chinese based hot shot Cedric Bakambu who arrived on Tuesday afternoon from China where he has so far scored 16 goals in 20 appearances for Chinese Super League side, Beijing Gouan and a total of 20 goals in all competition this season.

Among the 16 players who started training on Tuesday at the Stade des Martyers include Belgian based duo of Christian Luyindama (Standard Liege) and Jordan Botaka (Saint Trond), Germany based Chadrack Akolo (Stuttgart) and Jany Tisserand (Wolfsbourg), Benik Afobe (Stoke City), Jaques Maghoma (Birmingham City) both England and Spanish based Gael Kakuta (Rayo Vallecano).
