Good News For Polokwane City And Zimbabwe Warriors As George Chigova Sets Return Date From Injury!

Zimbabwe Warriors and Polokwane City number one goalkeeper, George Chigova has announced when he expects to be back from a knee injury that forced him out during Zimbabwe Warriors' Africa Cup of nations qualifier return leg against DR Congo on the 16th of October at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

The 27-year-old giant shot stopper who is currently enjoying a rich form for both club and country, told that he expected to be back in training at the beginning of next week and will be available for Zimbabwe Warriors' penultimate against Liberia scheduled for next month in Monrovia.

"I did the (MRI) scan and its not that bad," said Chigova.

I will be out for 14 days, but i have already started doing my rehab and i'm expecting to be back in training later next week."

This means Chigova who was initially feared to miss Warriors' next AFCON qualifier fixture away to Liberia mid November, will be available for selection as he is expected to return for Polokwane City's big league match against Orlando Pirates on the 6th of November.

Chigova limped out in pain after playing only 30 minutes in Zimbabwe Warriors' 1-1 draw against DR Congo at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
