How Zimbabwe Warriors Could Line Up Against DR Congo On Saturday!

Zimbabwe Warriors' Africa Cup of nations qualifier group stage ends with a chance to secure a top finish in group G if they manage to acquire more points against DR Congo in their back to back encounter scheduled for 13th and 16th October in Kinshasa and Harare respectively.

Zimbabwe Warriors are on top of the group but level on points with the DR Congo who are also on 4 points from 2 matches, but second on goal difference.

The Warriors will meet DR Congo for the third and fourth time respectively, since 2000, having last played against each other in September 2000 and in July 2001 in the same competition, the Africa cup of nations qualifier.

From the last two encounters they have met, Zimbabwe Warriors won once- a 3-2 home victory in 2000 before losing their last encounter on a 2-1 scoreline away to DR Congo in 2001.

Coach Sunday Chidzambga is very aware of the task at hand and will definitely try to trend cautiously against a star-studded DR Congo side who statistically have an upper-hand against Zimbabwe Warriors.

Chidzambga's game plan could be emphasized more on ball possession therefore his first eleven could be selected on the merits of basic football skills like off the ball movement, good ball passing and receiving abilities, and also able to dribble in confined areas.

Although Chidzambga is not expected to make wholesale changes from the squad that played Congo last month, but he is sure to add new boy Nottigham Forest right-back Tendayi Darikwa in defense to partner Alec Mudimu, Teenage Hadebe and Ronald Pfumbidzai in a standard 4-4-2 formation that evolves into a 4-1-2-1-2 five numbered formation.

In the midfield, Marvelous Nakamba could occupy his favorite defensive midfield role with Nyasha Munetsi and Tafadzwa Kutinyu taking up the two central midfield position whilst Khama Billiat operate as the offensive midfielder.

The striking force could be bestowed on the shoulders of Golden arrows front man Knox Mtizwa who is more experienced than Terrence Dzvukamanja to partner skipper Knowledge Musona upfront.

Here is Zimbabwe Warriors' Probable XI against DR Congo on Saturday 13 October.|

1-George Chigova, 2-Tendayi Darikwa, 3-Ronald Pfumbidzai, 4-Alec Mudimu, 5-Teenage Hadebe, 6-Marvelous Nakamba, 7-Tafadzwa Kutinyu, 8-Nyasha Munetsi, 9-Knox Mtizwa,10- Khama Billiat, 11-Knowledge Musona.
