How Rodwell Chinyengetere Might Line Up For Baroka After Completing A Two Year Deal From FC Platinum!

South Africa's most ambitious team, Baroka FC are definitely heading in the right direction as they announced their third Zimbabwean acquisition in FC Platinum midfielder and current Zimbabwe Soccer League top player, Rodwell Chinyengetere on a two year deal starting from January 2019.

The 30-year old's move has been welcomed by a lot of soccer pundits in Zimbabwe where the player has been outstanding for the past two seasons helping FC Platinum to win back to back Championship titles- in 2017 and 2018 respectively, but many in South Africa might be wondering where the Zimbabwean would fit in at one of the league's fast improving side.

During his three year tenure at FC Platinum, Chinyengetere has proven to be a quality attacking midfield player versed with good ball skills, perfect on and off the ball movement, very creative and attack minded player.

Chinyengetere arrived at FC Platinum at the beginning of 2016 from Hwange where he had resumed his career in 2014 after coming off a horrific injury that derailed his otherwise blowing career in 2012.

In his second year at the Zvishavane based club, Chinyengetere rediscovered his form- scoring 9 goals to emerge as the team's top scorer while helping the team to their first title and winning the Zimbabwe Soccer Star accolade.

This season the Kadoma-born star is in line for another Soccer Star of the year accolade after an outstanding season scoring 17 goals and helping FC Platinum to another title.

Chinyengetere's arrival at Baroka signals a depth of quality for the team and his role calls for a more permanent inclusion in the team giving coach some big tactical decisions to make.

In Baroka's most used 4-5-1 formation, Chinyengetere could be effective in the central midfield where he can be allowed to go forward regularly, setting up attacks and allowing the wing players freedom to play more advanced roles as they look to support the front man and go into scoring positions by cutting in.

The former FC Platinum play-maker who is also a natural goal scorer, could bring the much needed goals at Baroka playing as an attacking midfielder.

Chinyengetere could be given jersey number 25, which used to be worn by former Baroka midfielder and fellow Zimbabwean, Nyasha Munetsi who is now at Orlando Pirates.

The availability of other Zimbabwean players at the club in goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze and winger Talent Chawapiwa will certainly be a big boost for Chinyengetere's confidence to enjoy his game and spark new combination play at the Limpopo based club.
