Khama Billiat Bags A Hat-Trick To Inspire Kaizer Chiefs To A Great Start In The CAF Confederations Cup

Zimbabwean play-maker, Khama Billiat was at his best as he inspired a 'new-look' Kaizer Chiefs to a 4-0 rout of Zanzibar's Zimamoto FC in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old star player opened the scoring for Amakhosi in the first 7' minutes of the game from a set piece just outside the penalty box to lead Kaizer Chiefs to half time on a 1-0 win to Zimamoto.

Billiat increased Amakhosi's goal tally in the 60th minutes after a well taken shot from outside the box to make it 2-0 before Mahlasela added the third goal in the 68th minutes.

The Zimbabwean completed his hat-trick of the match in the 73rd minutes after converting from a penalty spot. Fellow Zimbabwean player Teenage Hadebe was brought down inside the opposition's penalty box and Billiat stepped up to seal a 4-0 win for Amakhosi to begin their CAF Confederations campaign on a high.

Teenage Hadebe made a rare first team start alongside Daniel Cardoso, Erick Mathoho and Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya to marshal the back-line and they coordinated well to keep a clean sheet.

It is Khama Billiat's 9th goal for Amakhosi in all competitions so far this season.
