A number of top English Championship clubs including Zimbabwe Warriors defender Tendayi Darikwa's Nottingham Forest have joined the race for Zimbabwe and National League current top goal scorer Macauley Bonne ahead of the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old forward who is in line for his official Warriors debut, has been in fine form for Leyton Orient so far this season, bagging 16 goals in 21 appearances to help fire the O’s to the top of the National League table.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of the several clubs to have taken an interest in Bonne and have watched him in action in recent weeks, according to Teamtalk

Arch-rivals Derby County, along with Leeds United and Norwich City, are also said to be keen on the Zimbabwean hot-shot ahead of the January transfer window.

Late last season, a number of English Football League clubs came chasing for Bonne's signature, after the forward plundering 22 league goals in 44 appearances for Leyton Orient last season, but the Zimbabwean preferred to stay at Orient, extending his contract with another two years.

It remains to be seen whether Bonne will be enticed to leave in January this time around, but the big question will be WHERE? since a lot of clubs are turning their attention on the Zimbabwean hot-shot.
