Willard Katsande On Target As Kaizer Chiefs Edge Black Leopards In The Absa Premiership Encounter!

Zimbabwe and Kaizer Chiefs hardman, Willard Katsande silenced critics yesterday after scoring the only goal of the match to help Kaizer Chiefs edge die-hard- Black Leopards 1-0 in the Absa premiership mid-week encounter.

The 32-year-old veteran midfield strong-hold scored in the 41st minutes of the match to seal the points for Amakhosi after the Zimbabwean missed scoring chances in the team's previous cup victory against Supersport United.

It is Katsande's first league goal of the season in 11 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs. The former Warriors skipper who will be returning to the Warriors squad against Liberia next week after last appearing at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Gabon 2017, has set himself a target of reaching 20 career league goals for Chiefs before he retires, he is now on goal number 14.

Fellow countryman and teammate, Teenage Hadebe returned to match day squad playing full game so as star player Khama Billiat.

Amakhosi are now on 17 points from 12 matches, seating on the fourth position in the Absa premier league log table.
