Kaizer Chiefs Preparing Bid For Chawapiwa Ahead Of January Transfer Window!

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly not given up in their pursuit of exciting Baroka winger Talent Chawapiwa and are beleived to be preparing to launch a bid for him in the upcoming transfer window.

The 26-year-old COSAFA Cup 2017 star was on the verge of joining Amakhosi during the July/August transfer window after the midfielder was identified as a potential replacement for the departed Edmore Chirambadare but the deal fell through due to Baroka's R3,5 Million asking price for the speedy winger.

With the January transfer window around the corner, and Kaizer Chiefs resting on sixth position on the Absa Preiership log with 21 points from 15 games, the club are expected to bring more options for Ernst Middendorp in the new year.

According to sources close to soca263, Amakhosi have already listed Chawapiwa as their top priority in the upcoming transfer window, as they look to reinforce their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.

Chawapiwa has featured in 13 premier league matches, 4 Telkom Knock Out and 2 Nedbank cup matches for Bakgaga this season, helping the team win its first major league silverware in their second year in the South Africa top flight league.

The diminutive Warriors attacker recently told Kick-Off's Chad Klate that should the opportunity arise he would be willing to jump at any moment.

"As a player, you’re always prepared to do anything. I’m always prepared to move from one point to another. Whether it’s today or tomorrow, you can move as a player – that’s our job," Chawapiwa said.

It is now to be seen whether Amakhosi will be ready to meet Baroka's demand price this time around to convince them to let go their valuable asset.
