Tatenda Tumba Inspired Young Warriors To A Convincing Victory Over Lesotho To Remain On Top Of Group C In The COSAFA U20 Championship

Two Of A Kind: Left Harare City Starlet Tatenda Tumba and Triangle youngster Delic Murimba shining at the COSAFA U20 Championship.

Exciting Harare City starlet Tatenda Tumba inspired Zimbabwe Young Warriors to registered another victory, this time a much convincing 4-0 rout over Lesotho in the second round of the 2018 Mopani Copper Mines Cosafa Under-20 Championship match on Wednesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old highly rated midfielder who is considered perhaps the most exciting prospect to emerge from the Zimbabwean top flight since Tino Kadewere, turned on a man-of-the match performance as Young Warriors thrash Lesotho 4-0 at Shinde stadium to take control of Group C with six points from two games.

Delic Murimba took his tally to three for the tournament after scoring the opening goal in the 45th minutes of the game to go to half time leading by a goal to nil before Tatenda Tumba added a second in the 49th minutes- just after halftime to double the lead for Young Warriors.

Junior Nyamuziwa increased the tally with a brace in the 60th and 90+2 minutes of the game respectively to register a second win and send a strong message as serious contenders for the title this year after missing out on the knockout stages in the last few editions.

The Young Warriors now need a draw in their next and final group C encounter against Angola on Sunday to book a semi-final spot.
