Weekend Action Wrap| Check Out How Your Foreign Based Stars Perfomed Over The Weekend!

Welcome to another end of the week foreign based players update. This weekend there was no much action in terms of goals as few of our players managed to hit the target in the week that ended. Nevertheless, below is a brief update of all our stars who were in action from Friday.

On Friday two matches were recorded with Terrence Dzvukamanja and Alec Mudimu all playing full game for their respective sides. Dzvukamanja's Bidvest Wits beat Chippa United 2-0 in the Absa premiership match while Mudimu's side also enjoyed a symmetrical score line away to Aberystwyth Town in the Welsh Premier league match.

Going on to Saturday - saw Willard Katsande leading Amakhosi charges to a 0-3 win away to Assm Elgeco Plus in the CAF Confederations Cup round 2. Teenage Hadebe was on the bench and Khama Billiat is out with an injury.

In the Absa premiership, midfield strong-hold Butholezwe Ncube played full Ovidy Karuru came in the 24th minutes for the injured Emiliano Tade as Amazulu registered a 2-0 win at home to Golden Arrows. Energy Murambadoro was on the bench for Usuthu.

On the other side of the Doug house, Divine Lunga who recently recovered from an  injury that kept him out of the Warriors last AFCON 2019 qulifiers played full game for Golden Arrows and Knox Mtizwa came off in the 58th minutes in their loss to Amazulu. Danny Phiri another Warrior who lost his place in the national team due to a recurring injury was not in the match day squad for Abafana Bes'thende.

In another CAF match- Warriors rising star, Nyasha Munetsi played an important role as he guard Orlando Pirates to the group stages of the CAF Champions League after a 0-1 win away to African Stars of Namibia. Munetsi could have topped his magnificent perfomance with a goal, but his effort was sadly ruled out for an offside.

In England- Nottingham Forest right-back Tendayi Darikwa had a bad day in office as his side lost 0-1 at home to Queens Park Rangers in the Championship League match - so as Andrew Rinomhota who also suffered a slender 0-1 loss to Middlesbrough in the same competition.

However, another English based Warriors defender, Adam Chicksen enjoyed his weekend after playing full game to help Bradford City register a 2-0 win at home to Scunthorpe in the English League One encounter.

Back in South Africa- veteran forward Matthew Rusike was a super-sub for Cape Town City as he was introduced at the half hour mark in place of Teko Modise to provide an assist to City's winning goal as they register a 3-2 home victory against Bloemfontein Celtic. Ronny Pfumbidzai was not in the match day squad.

In another absa premiership encounter, Elvis Chipezeze continued with his fine form between the sticks for Baroka as he kept another clean sheet to help Baroka win 0-1 away to Maritzburg United. Kaizer Chiefs target, Talent Chawapiwa also played full game for the Bakgaga side.

In Belgium, skipper Knowledge Musona is still struggling to crack into starting eleven under new guide-ship of assistant coach Karim Belhocine as he was on the bench in the team's 3-1 loss to Royal Mouscron in the Belgian First Division A match.

Moving on to Sunday, Warriors superstar and Brugge's midfield kingpin, Marvelous Nakamba played full game as he inspire Club Brugge to a 5-1 thrashing of Royal Antwerp in the Belgian First Division A match. Brugge are second on the log 7 points behind log leaders Genk.

In Absa premiership Sunday action, Onismor Bhasera and Evans Rusike played full game for Kaitano Tembo's Supersport United with the later providing an assist to Aubrey Modiba's goal in the team's 1-1 draw away to Highlands Park. Tapuwa Kapini and Tendai Ndoro also played full game for Highlands Park in that same encounter.
