Kudakwashe Mahachi Slowly Crawling Out Of His Shell As He Opened His Scoring Account At Orlando Pirates!

Ever since the arrival of Kudakwashe Mahachi at Orlando Pirates at the start of the season, the Zimbabwean has failed to nail down a regular place in the Bucs starting eleven with the player seemingly struggling to embrace life at his new club, but his recent performances in the CAF Champions league qualifiers against Light Stars cherry coated by a goal he scored in the team's 2-all draw to Highlands Park on Saturday in the Absa premiership,  proves Mahachi is beginning to crawl out of his shell at the Sea Robbers.

The 25-year-old former Golden Arrows play-maker took only 4 minutes on the field of play to score his debut goal for Orlando Pirates after coming on as a substitute in the 77th minutes to rescue the team from the jaws of defeat after trailing 2-1 to Highlands Park in the weekend league action.

Mahachi who played a key role at Golden Arrows' success in the couple of seasons, where he managed a modest 12 goals in 79 appearances, surprisingly turned cold after arriving at the Sea Robbers with the Zimbabwean experiencing difficulties in trying to settle at his new club where he is still to start in the league- managing only 83 minutes in all his five appearances to date - losing his place in the Zimbabwe National team due to lack of game time.

However, if Mahachi's recent performances are anything to go by- it is not long before the Warriors attacker earn a starting place in Micho's competitive squad and reclaim his place in the national team before the final qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville in March.

Besides struggling to earn a starting berth in the league, Mahachi has been pivotal in the team's CAF Champions League adventure, where he has managed to make a couple of starts helping the team to qualify to the group stages of the competition where they are scheduled to clash against Zimbabwe Champions FC Platinum on Saturday 12 January.
