Weekend Action Round Up| Knox Mutizwa, Khama Billiat On Target, Darikwa Sees Red, Another Man Of The Match Perfomance For Rinomhota And More!

Welcome to the Second week of the year 2019, below is a brief update of the action that happened over the past weekend involving our foreign based stars.

Saturday was highlighted by Nyasha Munetsi and Kuda Mahachi who made a trip back home in Zimbabwe with Orlando Pirates, where they played FC Platinum in the CAF Champions League group B match in Bulawayo.

Nyasha Munetsi played full game whilst Kuda Mahachi was substituted in the 75th minutes as the Buccaneers kicked their group stage with a point away from home after a nil all draw to FC Platinum.

In South Africa, Kaitano Tembo's Supersport United continue to drop points as they suffer another defeat to Black Leopards on Saturday with Onismor Bhasera playing full game for United.

In France, Tino Kadewere started the match for Le Havre in their nil all draw away to Grenoble and was substituted in the 71st minutes.

In England Leyton Orient edged Wrexham 1-0 in the FA trophy round 2 with hot shot Macualey Bonne rested for the encounter.

Still in England, the Championship league to be precise- Tendayi Darikwa had a bad day in office at Nottingham Forest as they lost 2-0 away to Reading with the Zimbabwean right back receiving a straight red in the 83rd minutes of the game soon after his team mate Danny Fox was send off in the 62nd minutes for a second bookable offence.

However it was a different story for rising midfield star, Andy Rinomhota who played full game for Reading in the same match and rolling on another man of the match performance in their 2-0 home victory to Forest.

Back in the Absa premiership, veteran forward Matthew Rusike came in the 74th minutes as a substitute as his Cape Town City drew 2-2 at home to Baroka who had Elvis Chipezeze on goals and Talent Chawapiwa coming on as a substitute in the 66th minutes.

In another absa premiership match played on Saturday, Ovidy Karuru started for Amazulu as the drew nil all at home to Highlands Park with Tapuwa Kapini in goals and Tendai Ndoro starting the match and substituted in the 81st minutes.

In Wales, Alec Mudimu played full game in his team's 1-1 draw to Newton AFC.

On Sunday, we begin with a CAF Confederations cup match report between Zambia's Zesco and South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs- where Amakhosi received a baptism of fire losing 3-1 in Zambia with Khama Billiat providing the consolation goal for Chiefs.

Billiat scored in the 42nd minutes of the game after going down 2-0 in the 31st minutes, but the Zambians were able to grab the third goal in the second half to seal a 3-1 victory for Zesco in the Confederations cup round 3.

In South African premiership Sunday fixture saw Knox Mutizwa bagging his fourth premier league goals for Golden Arrows so far this season with a goal in the 64th minutes to equalise 1-1 away to Bloemfontein Celtics. Danny Phiri and Divine Lunga played full game and Ronald Pfumbidzai was introduced in the 67th minutes as he marks his return from injury.
