Willard Katsande's Stunning Header Proves Fruitless In Kaizer Chiefs' Loss At Home To Sundowns!

Willard Katsande's stunning header for Kaizer Chiefs proves fruitless as Amakhosi went on to lose 1-2 at home to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa premiership match played on Saturday.

The 31-year-old midfield stronghold who is the team's current captain in the absence of injured Itumeleng Khune scored a marvelous header in the 14th minutes of the game off a Khama Billiat set piece to cancel Anthony Laffor's first 3 minutes goal for Mamelodi Sundowns to go to half time on a 1-all draw scoreline.

However, Katsande was forced off in the 71st minutes after seemingly pulling a muscle and was replaced by Kabelo Mahlasela.

Things seemed to be going on Kaizer Chiefs advantage until a goalkeeper's blunder that gifted Sundowns a second goal in the 81st minutes to seal a 1-2 win for Masandawana and register all three points away from home.

It is Willard Katsande's first goal in the year 2019 and his second of the season in 14 premeir league appearances for Amakhosi.

Another fellow Zimbabwean, defender Teenage Lingani Hadebe was introduced at the start of the second half for the struggling Geofrey Walusimbi to tighten the defence.
